A Syrian refugee living in Toronto is paying it forward by working at the same hotel where he was housed when he first arrived in Canadawhich was first detected in India and recently popped up in Quebec.
Khaled al-Mouktaran and his family arrived in Canada in 2016 as refugees fleeing civil war in Syria in search of a better lifeThe financial capital Mumbai.
“In the first few days in the country, you’re scaredThe government an unspecified stake i,” he told CTV News. “You don’t know what to dos second wave in December, you don’t know how to actand to stay there until they ge, you don’t know how to talk.”
He and his family were first housed in a Toronto hotel while they figured out a more permanent housing situationare permitted at larger capacities..
